Surely, it should be just to the rescue - not her.....

Re: 60 kittens to be killed...

hmm... also, how can 60 kittens all around the same age be up for adoption too, at the same time?

I agree, it does sound fishy, but we may all just be looking for excuses to jump to conclusions!

its actually very easy, right now i know of 14+ kittens recently born from 3 mothers and another one with more on the way and as the mothers are ferral and are not easy to catch (we are currently trying to trap the mothers and babies)

Here is a website that lists EVERY registered Charity (inclusing animal charities) in the UK, suprise suprise.....Decoy Kitten Rescue doesnt exist according to this

GuideStar UK | Database of UK charities

Maybe the clue is in the name....Decoy?

Re: 60 kittens to be killed...

They can't take donations by paypal or credit card. I suspect this is a very small outfit run by a well meaning couple who can't cope with what they have taken on. Things have to get fairly desperate before a vet sends in a bailiff which is what has happened here - they would have to get a county court judgment first. The bailiffs apparently theatened to take the cat cages (things of some value) and that is why there was the talk of having the cats put down.

They won't rehome to anyone except locally, quoting "regulations" and now they only have sick kittens and kittens still with their mothers left.

If nothing else, this rescue certainly knows how to use the media!

Liz

Re: 60 kittens to be killed...

I put it on my facebook and someone has pm'd saying they are willing to foster, but won't be able to travel - are their homes/fosters still needed, or have they ALL been saved now.

Perhaps if governments didn't spend so much money on defense, then there would be enough money to take care of God's creation. Which, by the way, is what we supposed to be doing as stewards of God's money.
