This is so sad :(

Hey Everyone!

I normally post over on the dog forum as I don't own a cat, but I saw this and i felt I had to post it up:

The 60 kittens with just six days to live ... because no-one wants to give them a home in the credit crunch | Mail Online

I've sent the story to my friends who live in the area and they are going to pass it on to see if anyone is able to help rescue a few of these gorgeous little things.

Sorry if this has already been posted before.

Rachel x

God how awful I cannot believe they would kill them all, I'd love to take them all if I could

I know its so sad. my OH is allergic to cats or I'd be making my way down there to take one myself otherwise!

Hopefully at least some of them will be rescued though.

I wonder if they would look at foster homes?

Re: This is so sad :(

I have no idea, i literally posted the link on here as soon as I saw the story. I'm guessing as they are closing that they need people to either take one on permanently or not at all though? don't really know :s

Re: This is so sad :(

I could take eight kittens up here for rehoming and have said so on the DM comments and on the website of the local paper (assuming they publish it - I am easily found on google). I suspect though that they will be overrun with offers of homes now. I just hope they have the sense to let the kittens go without making too many hurdles since it is urgent.

Edit - I see they ran into exactly the same thing last year with an outbreak of ringworm. I'm afraid this seems to be a case of a very well meaning couple taking on more than they can handle.

Liz
