Sunblock for my cats?

Where i live it gets extreamly hot during the day...The sun is Blazing..
And my 2 girls have the option of either being inside or outside..(i leave the sliding door open for them so that they can come and go as they please)

Ive heard that one of my friends put sunblock on her cats..(specialy the ears where they are prone to get sun burned and may even lead to cancer.

Is it a good idea to put sunblock on their ears?
Can i use any sunblock?
Currently i only have a spf 50+ for my daughter....but im sure if its suitable for babys i can use it for my kitties?

i would love to know your oppinions?

Re: Sunblock for my cats?

Cats ears are quite prone to burning in hot sun, especially white cats so putting sunblock on can be benificial.

I am not sure I would use human suncream however, I amy be wrong but I would have prefered to use something designed for cats.

There are many available and they are lick resistant which is good!
