Smile Recommend any Scratching Posts?

I am relocating from Sydney to the UK with my two Burmese boys. I currently have a great scratching post that they love. The post is covered with carpet as opposed to sisal string.

Do you know of anywhere that I will be able to purchase something similar in the UK as I won't be bringing mine with me.

I will be located in Hampshire.

Try Kalven cat scatching posts and poles This is Kalven's site. They do deliver. A bit pricey but they are solid and certainly withstand the bigger cats like the Raggies and they usually have both carpet and sisal. You can also alter the design a bit if you want.

As already mentioned there are plenty of climbers on ebay or try zooplus.

Re: Recommend any Scratching Posts?

We get all ours on ebay as well. They are much cheaper than in the shops, or in the online pet shops.

Kalven scratchers are excellent. I had one from the Pagoda range and it lasted for 9 years before I replaced it this year. The rope had finally gone, but all the carpet was still intact. When you look at how long they last, they are worth the bit extra. None of the others I have bought have been as well made or lasted as long.

Re: Recommend any Scratching Posts?

Just a suggestion, but you could always make your own with a bit of old carpet left over?

Re: Recommend any Scratching Posts?

Hi

I was looking for cat trees/scratching posts for my two Maine Coons and Selkcah who breeds Norwegian Tree Forest cats recommended this:

Catrix Cat Activity Centre & Scratching Post

Its absolutely brillant - no screws, no bolts, modular and no unsafe bits. Look at the video on the site - you can expand it and you see 2 Maine Coons playing on it - which = stable! it comes with sisal and furry stuff posts. The guy who sells it is very, very approachable. They also have stands at cat shows.

I ordered via the web and got it delivered - absolutely no probs.
