Red face smelly billy cat

hi guys

so far Billy is settling in quite well but there is a problem - he stinks!!

he has had the runs since i got him on friday so i started feeding chicken and rice. he was abit firmer today but there is still the smell hanging around him.
not sure if he is letting off wind or if he needs a good wash??

also he looks like he is trying to spray - what would this smell like? maybe it is this i am smelling?

Re: smelly billy cat

Spraying just smells like a really yucky strong wee smell. Hopefully he'll soon get over the other, pooey pong, now he's on a light diet.

Re: smelly billy cat

well billy has pretty much had the runs since we got him and the vets last night gave me antibiotics and panacur to give him to hopefully sort him out once and for all (fingers crossed).

also he did say billy might be sensative/allergic to chicken or chicken flavour food!!! and i should try to feed him only fishy food for a while. - all this time i have purposely been giving him lots of chicken as i was told this would settle him tum!!
now this stuffs me up cos i have just bought a load of chicken hilife wet and purely dry!!

so rumaging through my cupboards i find some purina one salmon and rice that i got free with a coupon. and the cats loved it!
is this a good food? -it says it is 16%fish and 14%rice

it would be handy to be able to buy their food in tesco and not have to trek to my nearest p@h for purely.
