Cat Food Sainsburys vs ASDA

Our cats have the Sainsbury's range of wet food (NOT the basic range) but we are planning on changing our shopping from Sainsburys to ASDA's

Who uses ASDA's for their shopping? and what brand of cat food do you use?

They used to have Felix but started to stop eating it, which is why we went over to the own brand.

Re: Cat Food Sainsburys vs ASDA

Asda do their Tiger range, they do Tiger and Tiger select. The Tiger stuff is pretty much on a par with Whiskas and Felix but I have used the Tiger select pouches in the past as even though they only have 4 % meat wich is pretty poor (same as whiskas and felix) it doesn't have as much cereal. Also though, Asda stock Feline fayre which is far superior to any of the foods mentioned. They do fish variety in a box of 8 which at the mo is only £1.87 and is 60 % fish, they sell the pouches individually too and are often on offer at 4 for £1.
They also do small tins of Feline Fayre in 2 chicken flavours and 2 fish flavours all with high meat content for £1.57 for a pack of 3.

The only own brands I trust are the Waitrose & Tesco finest. At Asda, I would only consider Hi-Life. Sainsburys have Encore which is a very good food.

Hiya, all my cats are now on Feline Fayre @ Asda, its 60% meat and they all love it. It is usually 4 pouches for £1 or at some Asda you can buy it in packs of 12 pouches at around the same price.
