I'm concidering getting a kitten in the next few weeks and would appreciate any information anyone can give me reguarding vaccinations and cost.

Re: New kitten

The first set of jabs is around £50 then yearly vacinations around £35. Spaying is around £60, neutering normally a bit cheaper. Insurance around £8 a month, food and litter around £10 a week.

Re: New kitten

if you get one from an adoption center then they normally come fully vaccinated and microchipped so it`s worth considering. i managed to have my boy neutered free of charge through the cats protection as they do a neutering scheme so you could find out if you qualify for help. if you get a boy then you definitely wanna have him done around 5/6 months otherwise he`ll start marking his territory!

make sure you have a scratching post, they can be bought quite cheaply argos do a really good one for under £10 and it has a bed on top which saves the expense of buying one (i bought a bed for mine an all he done was wee in it preferred sleeping on the scratching post)

Re: New kitten

We use a Companion Care vets in our local pets at home. Effie's course of injections cost £49 and included free microchip.

Good luck with your new kitty!

Re: New kitten

I go to the PDSA for all Dorries treatments etc. It cost 28 pounds to get her vaccinated and she had it done in 2 halves, plus I make a donation whenever she visits.
She isn't getting spayed until January and they did tell me the cost but I have forgotten . I can also get her chipped at the same time.
