Question Heats

Does a female cat still go in and out of heat after they've been neutered?

Re: Heats

Hi Sally-Ann,

This shouldn't really happen but I have heard of cases where it does but this is normally because the spay hasn't been performed properly. What makes you ask this?

Re: Heats

When she stands up in the litter tray after peeing there is a spot of blood at the end and just thought it may be her in heat.

Re: Heats

I think you need to take the cat to the vet. I'm pretty sure that queens don't bleed on their calls.

Ahhh I see, no cats don't bleed in heat. Sounds like some sort of urine infection to me. I agree with messyhearts & a vet trip is in order. Let us know how you get on

Re: Heats

Cats do not bleed like dogs in heat. They only produce eggs in response to a mating so there is no menstruation. It sounds like a water infection to me.
