Hairballs

Hi Peeps

I have a long haired ginger cat called Jovi. He cleans himself all the time and i have noticed that he is coughing a lot. I gather this is from hairballs and I just wondered if there was anything I could get him to ease this coughing or get rid of the hairballs. He hasnt been sick with it just coughs and I feel very sorry for him!

Thanks
Lottie

I managed to speak to someone online about this problem and they recommended that i got something called Katalax, so I have ordered it.

Re: Hairballs

We used to give some of our cats Katalax as well and a less ehm tidy way is to give them a pot of special cat grass. This makes them vomit and so get rid of the hairball.

Re: Hairballs

I would also suggest giving him a good groom every few days to remove the loose hair.

The more hair you brush off the less he swallows and brings back up.
