Huh????? Surely only if it is a ticked tabby - I would have thought quite reasonably rare in moggies. Or are you talking about marbles/ spotted etc as in not striped (i.e me reading this to mean no pattern at all)?

It is a small world Claire. My previous 2 cats where from HFA also. I used to go to the dog training classes. I just lost Tilly and Jasper a couple of months ago. Both were hit by cars, so this little one will be in the house (hopefully).

Where abouts in Fife are you?
Im in Glenrothes, we had 2 cats one was killed by a car in July and the other has been inside ever since, now we have 3 (all indoor, all torties)

Our youngest is a long hair tortie which we got from HFA shes about 18 weeks now (Jessica in my sig pic)

Re: looking for advice.

I have seen striped tabbies, spotted tabbies, ticked tabbies, marbled tabby and even blotched tabby all in moggies before now.

There was one cat in our rescue centre that seemed to have a combination, her legs were striped and her body marbled.

Re: looking for advice.

She is totally stunning!
I love torties especially when they have those wonderful split-colour faces!!!!!
It's been said (dunno who by) that there are "no straight lines in Nature", whoever it was never met a Tortie like this one, perhaps that's why I like them!

Re: looking for advice.

I have decided to call her Maisy. This is mainly because it was the only name my 2 year old didn't say no to.

Claire I'm in Glenrothes Too. Small world or what?
