someone is taking my cat

Hiya,
Basically i have 3 cats, two of them are very shy and never really leave the garden. The other one likes to adventure out more, and has an addiction to food.. We feed her more than enough..

Now my cat thats eating loads and going out far keeps going missing for up to 2 full days and nights, and allways comes back looking well fed And for the third time today has come back without her collar, I know she is definatley going elseware, and im pretty sure i know who it is.... I think she is going because the lady who i THINK is taking her feeds her even more...

Now i dont know what to do ?? i have thort of a few things like

. Attach a nasty note to the cat lol
. Is there any kind of tracker you can buy ?
. Never letting the cat out again but thats not fair as she loves going out.

If i find out the lady IS definatley taking the cat, can i report her in anyways, is there any law againt taking someones cat ??

I just dont know what to do to be honest, just want to know if any1 else has a simlar problem, and is there anything i can do as i love my cat loads

Thanks
Luke

Re: someone is taking my cat

Buy an identity barrel, attach it to the collar and put a note in it explaining that the cat is yours and you have had her for (however long it is). It would be a very good idea to get her microchipped quickly in case any dispute arises, the person who has the microchip trace back to them is in by far the strongest position legally.

Re: someone is taking my cat

hi
a few years agro i had a cat called fluffy he was a big cuddle bear but loveed to eat and go for long walks away from home anyway he started going missing for two or some times three weaks i was so worried and i looked for him for the hole three weaks then a old lady said she had found him in her shared and we went and got him but after that he used to go see her and she used to feed him and some time he would come back with out his colour and with in two days i used to find his colour had been posted to me so i went to see her and we talked and she just liked cats and she had cats alreddy and we agreed he could go see her if she didnt feed him as at the time he was on pill from the vets and left his colour on him and that went fine in fact when he had to be put down i asked her if she wanted to come to mine and say good bye and she did and i gave her a photo of him so if you know the person and you get on ok with them why not sit down and put some rules in place so your both happy on the other hand if you dont then i dont know what to say hope this helps

Re: someone is taking my cat

it really works because they'll be too terrified to feed them in case they get sick, i think you can get collars with it written on. could also post a note through the door saying he has to be fed/given meds at a certain time so please dont keep him in.

saves disputes this way

Re: someone is taking my cat

yeh the do not feed me is a good idea you can buy collars with this written on from:

Kitty Collars: Personalised Cat Collars - Printed Cat Collars - Personalized Cat Collars

i'VE GOT MINE FROM HERE JUST WITH THEIR NAME AND OUR NUMBER ON AS IT MEANS THAT THEY DONT NEED A TAG - sorry about the caps.

Also has your cat been neutered? if not this can cause them to stray x
