going to see a new kitty tomorrow everning

hey all well been lookin at a few adverts and i have come across a 6 month old female tortoiseshell and white kitty she is 6 months old, i have rang the lady and she sounds perfect and thought it would be a good friend for salem and give merlin abit of a break, but my wondering what it will be like at 6 months old ? salem is 11 weeks now will the gap age be difficult or do u think they would get on ok ? am so worried. i was told the new kitty is very playfull and very playfull. Am i making the right decision ? luv becks x

6 months might be a tad on the older side for smooth introductions, I'd be thinking of one more Salem's age, but you can try if you wish!

It may be OK, it may not lol however I would look at a kitty closer in age to be honest good luck

well holly was older then smokey and they got on great i was worried but no they defo love to be together they did the verry first day i got her smokey was the playful one and holly the carm one so they went toether really nicely so i think it depends on if they really like each other good luck hope it gose well

its impossible to answer, so all I can do is generalise.

In general a 6 month old kitty, would be a lot bigger, and would play a lot rougher.. which could intimidate the younger one.

But in reality it could be the other way around, it all depends on the personality of the two kittens.

Personally, if I wanted the 6 month old, for me, and not as a companion cat etc., I would give it a go, but I certainly would not leave them alone together, until I was 100% sure that all was safe,

hey all well we drove all the way to see this lady to get to see the kitty which was a 35 minute drive and when we got there the lady had decided to keep the kitty after all so we had to drive home which i was quiet upset about cause the lady could of called me.
