Google Iams testing and it will put you off that for life.

Kitten food really is a gimmick, I have never fed my lot kitten food and they are healthy 11wk olds, they have mostly raw but some hi-life thrown in too as the new owners won't feed raw

xx
Totally agree with this!!!!

I have used purely both wet and dry but my girls go fussy, it was a huge hit then they wouldn't touch it. Now the littlest one is eating the dry again. I saw they have a new one too which is a higher meat content but is quite pricey. Regular kitten one is 40% meat which is great for a dry food the new one is about 60 or 70% meat (sorry can't find it on website) but its more expensive than the 2kg regular stuff for only 300g

Re: He's throwing up...

we changed from their original food to purely first as we felt it was great value for money but still a good quality food

candy really isn't keen on the biscuits but cookie likes them so they are getting mixed in to use them up
they both liked the pouches but they gave candy really bad foul smelling wind and really foul stink the house out poo

so we swapped to natures menu pouches with JWB biscuits at the moment

Re: He's throwing up...

Tink never had wet kitten food as it went straight through her and made her lose weight as per what the breeder has told you.

I fed james wellbeolved and almo natures food to her and not done her to bad.

YOu want the highest content meat possible.

Re: He's throwing up...

Hiya

Hilife is also high meat content and they do a kitten version too (but as others have said I think kitten food is a bit of a gimmick). Also you may want to look at the supermarket brands, Tesco do a few wet foods that are 50% + but don't forget to read the boxes because they're not easy to spot.

We feed highlife, tesco just nature & tesco luxery (tesco finest is also good, a bit more expensive but you can the difference in quality) and occasionally i'll get him some applaws as a treat. Oh and every now and then we'll pick up a box of natures menu just for some variety or Aber gets bored

I have given him purely before but i'm scared of fish and the fish ones have all the skin and stuff on and I couldn't touch it

Re: He's throwing up...

It more than likely is that he's getting used to his surroundings but he also could just be a "pukey" cat.

Timmy's a real puker, if his food is too cold (only serve food at room temperature, its not like the mice and birds they catch are refrigerated beforehand, if anything its the opposite if they've been trying to get away from a cat lol), if its too warm (although he has stolen curry and he was fine lol), if he eats too quick (has been known to eat from his bowl then throw it straight back up into it) or if he eats too much dry food before eating his wet or if he himself gets too hot - before he was shaved in the summer (he can't be groomed unless sedated so is best to shave him rather than sedate every 6 weeks as not good for him and he seems to like his "number 2" hair cut lol) he was being sick quite a lot as he was too hot but got much better after. He has been checked out and he's fine, he's just a puker, but he's really good and only does it on the kitchen floor (or in his bowl) so its easy to clean up and not on my deep pile carpets lol He always looks at you after as if to say "oops, done it again, sorry mum" but I always praise him cos at least he does it where its easy to clean up and he can't help it lol

Re: He's throwing up...

Thanks for your help!

Enzo is now on a 100% raw diet... PERFECT!

It's easy, it's cheap and best of all... he is no longer throwing up or having tummy troubles!

We are happier and he is happier!

Absolutely amazing. I will never go back to commercial food with my pets... definitely recommended.

Are you making sure you a feeding the right cuts of meat? Muscle meat containing taurine? Supplimenting with taurine? Taurine is vital for a healthy heart and cats denied this go into heart failure/disease very quickly. Sorry to be a pest if you have indeed done you homework on feeding raw!!!

And thanks for the update!
