cat died, don't know how.
hi not been on much due to personal reasons but i thought i would post this.
i have three outdoors cats, one called oscar he is so lovely and loving. i noticed on the Tuesday he was not around the front garden, so i went looking for him around my road as he never goes far, i came back in and while i was out front my partner and son was looking in the back garden, they found him in a old rabbit hutch he was curled and looked asleep but when i touched him i knew strait away that he was dead, i am heart broken and i still don't know why he died as there was no clue. his nails was fine no blood around his head not a scratch on him. my partner did a nice little grave and we have planted a flower on top with a cross. i don't know if he was clipped by a car or he just died but he was just 7years old.

Oh! that is awfull, but can I tell you...cats know when they are going to die I think. My cat Fluffy did the same thing and we didnt find her for about a week. she was in my shed laying on the work bench, same as your cat all curled up. My mate who worked in our local vetenary centre came round and looked at her on the way home from her work. She said there are no obvious signs of injury and many cats just curl up and die peacefully in their sleep, she said cats sometimes know they are going to die and just do this. If it had been an accident you would of seen some sort of injury/trauma site.
So at least you know your cat didnt suffer in any way, or he would NOT have been curled up.He is at peace now, why dont you buy a nice rose bush and plant it in the garden in his remberance. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
