Maine Coon breeders? Northamptonshire area...

Hi,

Well... I've saved up a bit of money and my partner and I are starting to look for local breeders of Maine Coons.

Can anyone recommend a breeder in or around the Northamptonshire area? We are willing to drive a couple of hours to get to them...

We are looking for a male pet.

I've done some searches online and have contacted a couple of breeders, but it is nice to have recommendations too. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Have you checked the Maine Coon Cat Club kitten list? They do it specifically by region which helps.

I know of a couple of prefixes in the show scene so may be able to help with that but as my Maine Coon was from Manchester I am not sure about breeders specifically.

I know that a kitten is appealing but have you thought of re-homing an adult MC?

One here in Northampton:

Wasn't LouisKoonz in Northamptonshire? Look for her name in membership - she doesn't post much now.

Re: Maine Coon breeders? Northamptonshire area...

Thank you for all of the information and help!

I had a look through all of the websites mentioned and have contacted a few more breeders.

After very careful research and consideration, we've decided that a kitten is for us. Being a major part of it's development and upbringing is extremely important.

My search continues... thanks again for all of your help! If you can offer any further information or advice... I'd greatly appreciate it!

Hello MLynnC - I can recommend at least two breeders, one of whom is actually in Northampton. I shall send you a little PM if that's ok.

Excellent choice of kitten too - I wish I could also have a Maine Coonie but that may have to wait until sometime in the future. At the moment my home is full of meezers. I have had the honour of sharing my home with a gorgeous Coonie boy ... they are so cuddly and laid back yet they do talk to you and are great company. You won't be disappointed!
