Why does my cat like applaws chicken but not feline porta 21 chicken?

They both look the same to me!

And they are both fiendishly expensive.

not sure, your best best is to cook some fresh chicken, same thing and you get more for your money!

Applaws wet food is not a complete food but Porta21 is...maybe it has some extra additives in that your cat doesn't like the taste or smell of.

My cats like both...but not everyday...they seem to get bored, so I try to feed a variety.
Otherwise they end up wasting food which annoys me.

Cooking the chicken is probably the best thing...but he could eat the 6x400g tins of feline porta I bought him first!!

Oscar is restricted in cat food choice because of his sensitive stomach. Plus he seems pretty picky too. He absolutely loved one kind of food - animonda for neutered cats for months and would eat nothing but, plus no waste at all which was great. But he's gone off that now and I've been trying different stuff but he seems to lose interest pretty quickly. (even when trying to provide a variety.) It can get expensive trying different stuff out again and nothing is proving a big a hit as animonda turkey once was. Maybe applaws would be but not complete and even more expensive than I was used to. He eats a lot!

Re: Why does my cat like applaws chicken but not feline porta 21 chicken?

mine prefer Felix to Porta 21!!
Recently ran out and had to go for cheaper felix food. They were so excited they kept pushing each other away for it!! In future Im defo buying them the felix and saving some cash..
TBH tho its just their daily treat (1 tin between 9) so I dont think a little 'junk food' will hurt. Im still sticking with Orijen bics.

Oscar would probably love some Felix! But it gives him the runs so no go.
