Question Help with My new Cat PLZ

Hi,my new cat beauty has come along way in just 5days since i got her,but she wont go on her scaratch post she has been useing my dineing chair,i dont want to squirt water at her like some people have said,but what do i do?iv sat on the floor and played with her by the scaratch post she sniffs it cause i sprayed honeysuckell then walks off.The other thing is when i go to bed she goes under one of my spare beds and hides iv left my door open for her to come in but she doesnt like the mirror on the wardrobes she got a freight.I would like her to sleep in her little igloo but she wont go in that too.Many thanks.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cat ownership....what we want and what THEY want are not nessarily the same! Could spray something like bitter apple onto the chairs which may discourage her or perhaps Olbas oil - though your house may smell like a jar of Vicks at least you won't suffer from a stuffy nose....

try catnip (available Pets at Home) - rub it into the scratching post. Cat nip definitely attracts cats usually over 5 - 6 months.
