Getting ready for Kitten

Hiya

I am now getting ready for the arrival of my new kitten, I am pre-planning and pre-preparing for a yes from the home check person. (Aparently she should have been in touch by now so they are chasing her up).

Anyway I have just kitty proofed mt front room , which means tape all the tv leads up and move everything dangerous out of harms way as well as make some hidey holes for her.

Next is the kitchen which is just a good scrub down, bathroom has been done and her kitty litter tray is in place (it is pink!)

Next is the bedroom which is easy peasy and we have decided the office (second bedroom) is out of bounds for the time being because of all the computer equipment and documents.

I have brought her the cutest cat bed, she has two bowls for food and water, got to go and get some cat litter, toys and a scratch post.

Is there anything I am missing do you think? (apart from food)

Can you tell I am mega excited, I have never prepared soo much for an animal before and just know that this is the right thing to do at the right time

aw its so cute that you "tidied up" for her! LOL

I laugh but I always clean the house throughly before I bring kitties home!

I hope your home check gets done quickly it must be torture waiting!! Give them a call and tell them you are ready! lol

Re: Getting ready for Kitten

Home visit from the RSPCA was done tonight. The gentleman who did it had missed a number off my mobile number so took a chance and popped round.

Luckily I had finished kittyfying the front room by then I'm not sure if I came across as a ding bat or not because he asked why I chose the kitten I did and I replied because it was love at first site. He also asked how I was going to cope with her at home, I replied that it will be the most spoilt kitten on the planet with loads of cuddles and playing

Hopefully I should find out tomorrow!

So cute. You will need to deworm her at some point. I am such a cat lover and it's amazing all the prep you are doing.

Re: Getting ready for Kitten

I am soo excited

She has her check up with the vet and her first injection on Thursday so it won't be until then. Sods law is that I go back to work on Friday for a 10 hour shift and then am working 5 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

I may see if I can get her early aturday morning though and settle her in before I go to work and then hand over the reins to Daddy till I get home.

Not sure it is best leaving her on her own for a few hours though, or maybe it will give her that space to have a mooch about and relax.
