Cat not moving

I am away in Kingston until morning (have bee here since Friday night).

Mum is on pet duty, Kitten however, it appears has since i have been away, not moved from under the table, except to toilet. He has not been interested in food (though mum has after my suggestions got a pouch out and put that in front, some of which he has eaten, but not much (i changed him to biscuits a few days ago))

Does anyone know what it could be?

I will be taking him to the vets as soon as i get back tomorrow but if anyone knows anything that could be tried tonight, please let me know so i can text mum. I even got her to put the phone up to him so he could hear me, he just stared at the phone.

He is a 2 year old 3 legged castrated male.

Had his vaccs about a week ago.
I took him in 2 weeks ago as he was due to be pts if the owner could not find rescue space for him.

She tried to move him and he just let a kind of "leave me alone" long miaow

Re: Cat not moving

Hi, I would wait and see if his behaviour changes once you are back home - he might just be upset that you arent there? In the meantime I'd be tempted to leave him alone & see if he comes out in his own time but would leave wet food as he will get water from that also.

Re: Cat not moving

One of mine goes mental if I'm in the loo too long without him. And when I went on holiday once he ran away, only came back when he heard the sound of my car pulling up, he's a daft thing

So he could just be suffering a little anxiety. She could try just sitting on the floor next to him for a while with some extra tasty treats to lure him out? My mums got the patience of a gnat though, so mine wouldnt do that
