Angry Pet shops

I went to a pet shop today to get some things for the hamsters and wandered round to the animal area (as you do) and noticed that they had some new kittens in there, I wasn't too shocked at that as I'm used to the poor things being sold in there. What did shock me was the size of the kittens, they were really really tiny, has anyone got a pic of a kitten who is the right size to be sold as I want to report this but

a) I'm not sure if there is a legal age of a kitten being sold.
b) I'm not sure what age that should be.
c) I'm not sure what size that kitten would be.

If anyone can help please let me know the answer to any of these questions.

Re: Pet shops

the only problem with some kittend is that they are just tiny. i had a pregnant cat that i was looking after and she had small kittens. I took them for a checkup at 7 weeks and the vet argued with me and said they were 4 weeks if that but the kittens were all healthy and growing normally

Re: Pet shops

They look about between the size of an adult hamster and a guinea pig.

Re: Pet shops

I saw some kittens in a pet shop a while ago... they were in a tiny cage about the size of a rat cage and I felt really sorry for them

Re: Pet shops

There's a pet shop in Enfield that sells them too, they're always teeny and in mucky cages It really annoys me, I wish they weren't allowed to sell them
