Just spayed

Hi

My lil girl Pepsi has just been spayed her brother Jet also had the snip today.

When we picked them up, after being told pepsi would have a buster collar on, we got handed two buster collars to put on ourselves if she didnt leave the op site alone.

Well we have put the collar on and she has gone potty running around and shaking her head, vet nurse told me to keep them quite, now she has managed to pull it completely off. Should i try and put it back on again? She isn't really paying the op site much attention.

Re: Just spayed

Mine hate the collars & they find it difficult to eat & drink with them on too. I wouldn't bother with them - it just freaks them out. If they start to mess with the wound, you can buy breathable human dressings that are used after ops called mepore - they're not too sticky, but just stops them picking at it. They recover so quickly, it puts us to shame!

Re: Just spayed

Thanks

I have left the collar off. Op site looks great and she doesn't seem that bothered by it.
