poppy biting

hi all

just need some quick advice....
ive got an 8 week old kitten called poppy and ive had since she was 5 weeks old.
shes lovely and bubbley and you can tell shes very happy!
tho she gets very over excited when she plays with my other cat mia!
whenever she plays with mia they always play fight, ive watched closely and mia isnt to rough with her which is good and the play fighting only really lasts for a maximum of 5 seconds
however whenever i pick poppy up for a cuddle she seems to always want to bite me, where as sometimes she will just sit in my arms quite happily.
does anyone no of any tips on how i can prevent poppy from biting me?

Re: poppy biting

sorry to say but i feel maybe she isnt ready to be picked up and cuddled specialy if she has been playing with the other furbaby you have she sounds to me like she could be a little excited still from playing.
Maybe when she has calmed down from playing she will probably be ok for a cuddle.

yeah sounds to me like she is trying to continue her play time with you especially with her being 8 weeks they can be so playful at that time it should calm down

Re: poppy biting

Make sure you never play hand/finger games with her - once they've started thinking of your hands/fingers "as a game", it's hard to stop - always use a toy
