vets *grrrrr*

just got our cats and dogs vaccination cards through the post as i haven't been getting on with them recently.
had a read through a few and found that chub has magically turned in to a female Maine coon and daisy is obviously totally invisible as her card is missing completely both of the cards have not been updated since 2006
the dogs have a copy of their cards that i keep in the car for proof at shows etc so i wasn't expecting to find any mistakes on there but sure enough Minnie is down as a fox terrier/patterdale and poppy a dog ya would have thought by the name they would have known better
rant over just had to tell someone before i shot the vet or something stupid lol
btw the dissagreements i had with them was when i got daisy spayed and they let the student stitch her up by the time she had come home all the stitches were out and she was leaking insides out of a gaping hole in her side (and then the vet said stitches were no good and got a staple gun out)

Poor Daisy..

My parents dog Kia got spayed and the vet left something inside her which worked it's way out through her tummy.. she was in so much pain and had to go back for anti biotics as it caused an infection... I do worry sometimes!

Re: vets *grrrrr*

We have used the same vets for approximately 40 years and have only ever had one bad experience but it was a clanger.

All Duke needed was a skin scrape on his shoulder, the second one which was his last fortunately. I received a phone call preparing us for what we were going to see. Duke had been under so much stress by them placing a muzzle on him that his face was badly scratched and swollen and he had damaged his eye.

Neither my husband or I believed he had done that to himself it looked like he'd been badly attacked.

They have placed on record that if Duke requires anesthetic in future I have to be present, ensuring all vets at the practice know I will assist.

Why didn't we change vets, Duke has a list of medical conditions mainly skin allergies and he suffers severe reaction from wasp stings. The vet told us next time it could be fatal for him. I'm not sure vets notes are transferrable.

Sue

yes if you want to change vets they can get your dogs record from your old vet they have to give it to them.
