Suitability?

Hi, does anyone have a burmese and a birman or know of their compatibility. The local rescue centre are looking to rehome a 10month old girl spayed burmese and we are looking for a suitable pet/companion for our 4 yr girl birman. We have spent 2 days looking at option of buying a new kitten, ragdoll but would love to rehome if we could, a pure bred instead. If anyone has experience of a burmese whether they have to be a one cat household or whatever, please pass anything this way Thanks

Re: Suitability?

i think it just depends on the cat. I would speak to the rescue that has the cat and see what they think as they will know a little about her character

Re: Suitability?

Totally dependent on how well they raised but typically I find them to be great and very sweet natured. My CC is half burmese and he's very very sweet, loving cat and very tolerant of other household pets

Re: Suitability?

Thanks guys. Decided probably not best in the interest of both of them to attempt trial period. Burmese ended up in rescue centre due to being not well cared for and at the moment, behaviour towards other cats seem to be a result of how she was left to fend for herself. If I didn't have mine, I would gladly have taken her on..

anyone going to show in Thornbury on Saturday? will be my first as a member of public.
