Kitten tangled in blinds and its me who's injured!

What a panic we had! Our youngest is always making a noise usually because her big sister is trying to eat her but this time Bell was nowhere near and I realized something was wrong. It was, Jessica had gotten her back lag tangled in the little beaded bits at the bottom of the blinds, what a racket!
Of course when I went to get she was panicking and bit chunks out of me. We landed up cutting the blinds in our panic and I dripped blood everywhere she got me goodo right in the nail bed, ouch!!!
Anyway she is fine but my finger hurts

Re: Kitten tangled in blinds and its me who's injured!

My cat did the same thing...(got caught in the blinds) just lucky my daughter and I were around at the time.

My daughter held Dolly who was making a right racket and I got the scissors and managed to cut her free. My daughter received a nice big scratch for her efforts accross her chest.

I have since removed all the stringy beads from the bottom of the vertical blinds.

Re: Kitten tangled in blinds and its me who's injured!

We have had the blinds since April and this has never happened but I am worried now about when we are not around, probably try to open them fully when we are out rather than remove all the beaded bits as its a huge patio door (235cm wide) don't think the blinds would hang right without them.
My finger is sporting 3 puncture marks and is a lovely shade of purple otherwise all is well.

BBC NEWS | Scotland | Tayside and Central | Sheriff calls for blind cord ban

Not only kittens or cats, blinds can be a big problem for toddlers too.

A happy ending for the kitten though, which is the main thing!
