Yes mine "free feed". But then mine are fed dry food so its fine to leave down all day.

I have a horror story where when I used to feed them wet food I left it down one day and went to work - it was a hot day and I came home from work to a kitchen floor full of maggots! It was gross!

Re: another question...food bowls

i leave them always dry food out as much as they want but feed them also wet food once per day. They love it and its their highlight for the day. its eaten in 10 mins so no worries about any bugs

i wished mine could eat a bit more lol no, they eat as much as they need. If food has good nutrition then they will not over eat i think.

Re: another question...food bowls

They tend to over-eat with wet food but not really with dry - i guess it depends on the cat!
I had one cat that used to gobble it all and then be sick everywhere but my others dont do it!

Just make sure you leave plenty of water down with dry food trish (obviously because of the lack of moisture in dry than wet).

I also feed mine wet as a treat probably once a week.
