TabbyRoad is on a distinguished road
Re: Oscar :(

That is just so heartbreaking

How old was Oscar? We're looking at the prospect of our 13yr old cat having some dental work and now I'm wondering if it's worth it.

I'm so sorry for your loss. 3 weeks may not be a long time but it only takes them a very short time to become big parts of our lives.

We don't know how old exactly because he was a stray before we rescued him, the shelter said he was 7-8 but we think he was a little bit younger.

I have spoken to the surgery today and they said he was perfectly healthy, the operation went well but he just couldn't cope with coming off the anaesthetic, they would not have operated if they had any thought there was something wrong with him. My other cat is 10 tomorrow, he had his dental done a week before we picked him up in April, it's a standard operation. I guess Oscar was just unlucky

As we only had him for three weeks and it was the rescue centre that did his dental they have told us if we want to get another cat from them in the future then we will not have to pay the deposit which is a really nice gesture.

Thankyou everyone for your kind words. I'm going to miss him so much, i've never met a cat like him, he was just like me, loopy and cuddly.

His little stripey tail will be swishing around every corner I see for a long time.

Re: Oscar :(

I am really so sorry to hear that sad news. At least he can all he could wish for in his last couple of weeks with you.

Sleep tight little one.
