i have a male tortie not "dogged" with ill health, he's very healthy, what makes you say that? and being infertile is not a problem as most cats are neutered anyways, or, at least the should be!!!!

the cat in question could well be a male so i think to you the opening poster is a bit harsh, you do not know the facts at all about the cat for sale. if they;ve made a mistake we are all human and it happens.

Re: Male Tortie For Sale

Well a male tortie is VERY, VERY rare.

In fact I have never come across one in my 6 years of cat rescue.

It could be real or it could be a mistake, we all know how hard it can be to sex little kittens.

Re: Male Tortie For Sale

Red Point & Tortie Point Siamese picture of a male tortie point siamese, who was not infertile.

Having a patch or a few break through hairs of base colour is very common in red/cream/apricots. It doesn't make them a tortie, just means that those hairs are unaffected by the affects of the orange gene (not a good explanation I know). True male torties are supposed to have 3 chromozones rather than 2, hence the usual infertility.
