Re: Hollidays

I think it depends on the cat. I have a friend that takes her cat all over the place with her, it even comes to horse events in her lorry. My bunch however even just going to the vets which is only a 5min car journey results in a very stinky, embaressing mess! We are lucky that we have animal sitters that look after the horses and the cats when we are away.

Re: Hollidays

You should look into pet passports.
I know with dogs they have to be a minimum of 6mnth before they can have their rabies shots and then they have to wait another 6mnths before they can actually travel. The rabies vaccination has to be done before a passport is issued. They also have to be microchipped.
I assume its the same for all animals travelling abroad so please check this out or it means your cat will have to be quarantined for 6mnths!

Re: Hollidays

Are you going to tell this kitten's breeder it's going to be going on a plane? Personally I would not sell you a kitten if this was the case.

Why not? The kitten is not going to come to any harm

Re: Hollidays

Because i've read several articles of kittens/cats escaping at airports. And it's just a personal thing. If the kitten was older and more established in it's home and felt safer, maybe but it's just left it's litter mates.

Sorry just what I think.

Sarnajes is on a distinguished road
Re: Hollidays

Personally I think this would be extremely stressful for a kitten.

I hate flying myself so can't even begin to imagine how terrifying it would be for a kitten.

Re: Hollidays

I don't want to cause the kitten any stress or harm, that's why i've started this thread, i just wanted to know everyones opinion on this subject.

I don't have to take him, i've got friends who can visit him daily, i just want to do whatever is best for him and wanted to know what you would do.

Re: Hollidays

It's up to you Just my thoughts that's all. Why don't you discuss it with the breeder and just look at all of your options and then decide
