Leaving a Raggie at home all day..

Hi,

My Ragdoll Alfie is 13 weeks old, I normally bring him in to work with me in the day but will have to leave him at home now he's getting more active to say the least!

I am at work for 7hrs a day, 5 days a week... How do you think Alfie would cope being on his own in the day time?

He has loads of toys, a climbing frame etc...

Does anyone have any experience with this? x

Re: Leaving a Raggie at home all day..

Ragdolls dont like to be left too long, doesnt matter how many toys they have its company they want and need, they can get very withdrawn if they have no companionship for long periods of time, have you considered getting another cat so they then have each other while you are working,

Re: Leaving a Raggie at home all day..

yeh I have thought of getting another kitten, but as I live in an apartment it would have to be another indoor cat... another ragdoll which will be pricey!

But definately do want to get him a friend at some point!

Do you have Ragdolls? xx

Re: Leaving a Raggie at home all day..

it would not matter on the sex, so long as they were spade or neutered,

yeh when I've left him before I've come back and he's been asleep on my bed.

Just didn't want him getting lonely, will look at getting him a new friend.. don't know whether to get another ragdoll or a different breed!

If you got a moggie Iam sure if you treated the same as your raggie it would not mind staying indoors, I would tend to go for the opp sex so there is no compatision for dominance, just make sure you get them neutured in time
