Re: Leaving a Raggie at home all day..
Hi
I see you live in Chester. I live in Warrington so am not too far from you! I can recommend some good reputable breeders who aren't too far away if you are interested. Failing that have you considered rehoming a Ragdoll? Visit ragsrescue Home checks are carried out prior to placing a Raggie and it is a case of matching the Raggie to the home rather than a first come first served basis. If you would like to know more please PM me. ![]() Karen |

Re: Leaving a Raggie at home all day..
This is a good thread and links in with my question about getting another kitten. I really don't want my 6 month old bot to be bored when me and my girldfriend are out at work.
Is there real proof that cats are better with companions? When I lived with my parents we only had one cat at a time and they seemed fine. I guess an extra cat does not need too much extra effort does it? |

Re: Leaving a Raggie at home all day..
I think an extra cat would pay for itself! Considering that your only cat could shred your settees, leather or cloth and also destroy the wallpaper through boredom, pmsl. I have artexed my living room now due to having 12 of them running around in there, but the leather settees have had it, they have clawed trough to the wood!

Re: Leaving a Raggie at home all day..
Well that's the funny thing. Our boy, although getting braver and more playful has shown no signs of ripping any furniture up yet!!!!!
However, when we visited his possible new friend she seemed a bit mad and the lady was letting her scramble all over the sofas during a game ( not the cat doing it by itself). We treasure our new sofa!!!!! She may have been having a mad 5 minutes though. She'd be ok I think |

Re: Leaving a Raggie at home all day..
hmm, think it depends on the cat, and breed. A house cat will get bored (a young kitten will)
I am definately going to get a friend for Alfie as I'm having to leave him on his own in the day and Ragdolls crave company. He hasn't shown signs of scratching furniture but is trying to claw the carpet.. oh and wee'd near the front door twice yesterday! I've had to get my boyfriend to stay with him in the day to keep him company.. or he would just be bored out his mind! |
