Hi everyone.
I was just surfing the net and came across a place in Ameerica that will mummify your pet for you. I think this is fantastic (if a bit grusome) and having studied Egyptology for years I can see why people would want their pets to enjoy the afterlife. I did a quick search in the UK and couldn't find anywhere that will mummify your pet so I'm thinking about doing more research and looking into starting a business. I'd like to know though if any of you guys would consider having your pet cat (or dog or whatever) mummified, professionally of course. It would be presented in an attractive sarcophagus and very tastefully done. The place in America charges $4000 for a cat which I find very expensive, but I'm sure it can be done for a lot cheaper. How much would you be willing to pay, if you don't mind me asking. ![]() Thanks for any info in advance, Chicabelle ![]() |

Re: Pet mummification?
After our honeymoon to Egypt I must say it interests me but I am not sure I would want Buster mumified but I may change my mind one day who knows. I think its a great idea I saw the mumified foetus in the valley of the queens it was amazing!!

Re: Pet mummification?
No I wouldn't I'm afraid, my cats and dogs (if I ever have any more) will be fertilising my garden plants.

I'm in the UK and I want my ferret mummified. I would be prepared to pay anything for this but would prefer it if it's only a few hundred pounds ofcourse (Less money to save up). However, the US mummification website had the creatures in metal or someting. If you decide to continue with this business, would you make it possible to have just bandages without the metal? =]
