What is it all about - giving birth under the bed? Why do they like it soooo much and prefer it to anywhere else? We buying those expencive and comfortable (from our point of view) kittening pens of all sorts, spending hundreds and he're we go: girls just do a few circles around the bedroom, a few times dig everything out of wordrobes; and finally deciding to settle under the bed in a simple cardbox!

my cat will only give birth in the most awkward place possible the last place was on the livingroom sofa not the ideal place. The time before I woke to find her laying next to me on my pillow delivering the first of four kittens.

I guess it's where they feel is the most safe / secure (comfort zone) place

she seems to want to have her kittens near me. But right by my head is not my idea of a good birthing place

My sisters cat give birth in the bathroom next to the loo Now thats not safe lol Mind u her dog used to go in there to sleep, The cat loved her dog, so maybe she gave birth there to be near the dog.

Donno what the fascination was with her bathroom rofl.
