Wink My opinion Siamese & Oriental

Now this is a cat discussion community so I just wanted to say I have went to peoples sites and they have beautiful kittens, and coloring is fabulous.

But I do not like the heads and bodies on these babies. No harm intended, it is just a personal notation.

This is in no regard a flame to anyone or a put down. It is just my opinion. As far as quality I think they are exquisitely bred. The best I have seen.

Anyone else have an opinion?

I have Siamese but mine are not purebred so they have rounder little faces.

I'm sure the experts here will be able to expain it better but a far as i know there are two types of siamese, the traditional siamese(yours) and the modern siamese (the ones you've just descibed- the gorgeous ones), so that does not mean yours is not pure bred, just a different kind

Re: My opinion Siamese & Oriental

There are two types of look traditional with a more rounder head, smaller ears, cobby body and rounder eyes and the more modern type with their long pointy faces, large low ears and long lithe bodies.

I have to say I do love the more modern type and hopefully those are the type that I breed. A huge pair of low down ears melts my heart. That said, even some siamese and oris now are a little on the extreme for me.

Re: My opinion Siamese & Oriental

I am obcessed with Maine Coons but all other breeds for me are exquisite in they're own beauty. I am absolutely love to see pictures and at the shows siamese and orientals...etc.... The only couple of breeds that I am not feel like drooling are sphinks and kohona's (so far... I might change my taste with age....)

I didnt like the look of siamese cats at all...was more into long hair cats. BUT this changed! I totally adore the siamese and bengals now after seeing all the pictures of them on here. Im planning to get a siames or bengal cat one day in the future (my bf doesnt know about my plans yet lol)

Re: My opinion Siamese & Oriental

WelllI like Anele love to see all types of cat-for me cats are amazing, however as you all probably guessed my heart lies with Siamese and Orientals as i personally have never known any cat with the personality and character traits these creatures haveAs for type-for me i do like the more traditional(applehead) but at first i thought that the really extreme(with huge bat like ears) were well for me ugly, however now i am leaning more in favor as like Kim i luurrvvve the modern Siamese/Ori's of the extreme and when everything balances they are exquisite to see and really take your breath awayAnd it's the thrill of this particular chase that makes being part of a breeding family exciting and challenging

I adore Siamese - old type/modern type - they just have something in their eye and it melts my heart. Just started looking at the Oriental and they too are adorable. They just have that look I love Learning about their personalities more and more by being here and seeing the pics too just makes me want one more and more!!

Re: My opinion Siamese & Oriental

Who wants a "normal" cat anyway?booorrring the big ears and funny voice is what makes me laugh and make me love them

When i told my boyfriend i wanted a cat, i innitialy had to persuade him but when he saw the oris/siamese he was convinced straigh away and said if we're going to get one it has to be one of those.

On the other hand friends have asked me why i want act who looks like a batD

Re: My opinion Siamese & Oriental

Once you live with a Siamese/Ori it's awful to say but they do make other cats seem boring, but i can't say that about all cats because i don't know about lots of other breeds. It's just hard for me to imagine other cats being as clever and as talkative etc-talk about beauty and brains-i'm coming back as an Imp Siamese/Ori
