Re: nasty people

Just caught up with this thread - some people are so blinkered in their views of what other people do i.e. they think everyone is out for money. You are doing a brilliant job of providing a home for 3(?) pregnant cats who could have been put out on the streets & increased the stray population & spaying them when the time is right. And you effectively rescued the boy so what's this problem!

I have to say i couldn't do it, nor i bet would alot of others, so well done you.

All this love is costing you money though, so i don't see any harm in you charging something to cover your costs.

Are you going to keep any of the cats/ kittens or rehome them all?

Re: nasty people

I'd say, if you know someone who really wants one and you know that person will look after them then let them have one for free, otherwise charge a nominal amount.

Re: nasty people

I don't think it's unreasonable to sell them. If people see a free kitten they might rush into it. But round here kittens go for £15 - £50 the higher price if they have been vacc.
If it is someone you know and trust then that would be ok to give it for free, two of my pups went for free to people I trust

This can be true too, but I wouldn't pay for mine, and mine definitely get better care than millions of other paid for cats. In fact I was asked to pay 40 pounds for SHMITTY I SAID NO,I'd only pay 20 and only then if it went towards the cost of neutering the mum.

Ribs and Lacey I literally took as older 6mnth olds, Batman I kinda stole in an honest way, from really bad owners, bad owners that paid for cats so that they could have kittens, after buying 3 boys they finally got a girl and had their kitenns and more kittens and even more kitten and have since neglected and disowned the lot of them.

Fair enough. It sounds like your cats are very lucky to have ended up with you and to have found the love and attention that they deserve. xx

Re: nasty people

If you early neuter them and vaccinate them, you will be sure the same won't happen to them, and of course you should charge for them, some people if they get something free do not value them, please note I did say some I'm sure that everyone doesn't think like that.

Re: nasty people

I think that charging for kittens should only be to pay for neutering the mother, on Moggys. I feel so sorry for cats who don't get neutered and cats in homes waiting for new owners that wont come because people are too happy to pay 50 pounds to someone who just leaves their poor old cats to have litter after litter.

I was presuming this lady is neutering the mothers, but it is just as important to neuters the kittens.
