I think its about £10 a bottle, but we've had ours 3 months now and there's still plenty left.
BTW it says its completely safe for cats, even if they lick it off. You can also buy sprays for furniture etc which I used when a friend with a cat allergy visited- he seemed OK too.

Petal Cleanse is great and really does work, if you can get them to sit still long enough!

Re: Hubby is suffering

If it is the dander causing the allergic reaction then an ioniser should help as they get the dust and dander out of the air. Means you may have to dust a bit more though. They are relatively inexpensive.

Has you hubby been tested for his allergy, it could be that your getting pebbles coincided with they very high pollen counts we've been experiencing lately.

He uses antihistamine, has to because he has hayfever and he has even been having a puff of my sons inhaler when he is very wheezy.

I love Pebbles but I told hubby I would give him to someone else if he was that bad, I don't want to see him suffer but he refused.

I feel so bad, what else can I do to help him? I no longer let the kitten in our bedroom and I hoover daily. Would one of those pet hoovers help? any particular antihistamine that might work better? allergy injection?

I don't want to see Pebbles go
My Daughter turned out to have an allergy at the age of 6, and now, so....I always keep the cats (I have 4) out of her bedroom, I wash all her bedding at over 60 degrees. She had a brown puffer from the doctors for 6mnths and now she is fine, she uses the brown puffer between Oct and April every year and is fine, unless she gets a scratch. She was tested for this allergy, i had to rehome her guinea pig though, his fur was bad.

I think some cats have different furs, kittens fur can be a prob to begin with, but will settle, keep your kitten extra clean and brushed with a wet wipe a day. It could be the cats spit or urine that is the main prob you see.

This is true.

My doctor says a third of all cat owners are allergic.

My ex was very very allergic to cats, had very bad asthma, but he coped in the end until i got rid of him!!

Re: Hubby is suffering

I have bad astham and my cats sometimes dont help it (I think its more the dust they cause dashing about) but I find washing my hands after ive touched them, washing thier beds often and just keeping cat hair to a minium as much as poss (not always easy)!

Also my GP said that my cats were the cause, I then went to the chest clinic at the hospital and got tested for an allergy to cats and other things and it was NOT the cats!

I actually could have kissed the woman who told me!
