Re: new breed

The Ashera was featured in the Daily Mail but there is a press release online.

They are breed in the US and are being sold by a British entrepreneur called Simon Brodie.

They are a cross between the African Serval, Asian Leopard Cat and an unknown breed of domestic cat. Reaching a weight of up to 30 lbs and standing 4 feet tall on it's hind legs and living for 25 years. It's reported that they are happy to eat tinned cat food but prefer a heated bed due to their exotic heritage.

They've been developed by a team of geneticists as the ultimate designer pet.

There is a debate going on at the moment on the US forums about whether it's a hoax or not. Many of these people think that it's just a Savannah because there seems to be very little difference between the two breeds.

There are 2 types of Ashera - the normal which costs $22,000 and the hypo-allergenic version which is $28,000.
