Grrrr, advice needed

Hi.

I am wondering if anyone can give me advice. My next door neighbour has been shooting neighbourhood cats that foul in his garden, or actually even enter his garden. He openly told me this , at first i thought he was joking but appears he wasnt and shoots them with a pellet gun. He told me not to worry as he wouldnt shoot my cat - like that matters he is still shooting others!!! I responded telling him good job as if my cat ever appears injured with what appears to be a shot wound i will be very angry and know who to invoice the vets bill, i have also suggested him trying other methods of keeping them out instead of being so cruel but he doesnt listen. Well his little boy who is 4 told me yesterday that his daddy had been shooting my cat!! I am furious! But just dont know what to do! My cat is fine by the way i checked him over.

Is there anyone i can report him too?? But as i dont have any evidence and my cat isnt injured will anyone do anything???

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I would report him to the RSPCA and the police, its animal cruelty. Even if you have no evidence, both parties will have to investigate your complaint.

I have no idea who to contact and I doubt the police would do anything.

I would be REALLY angry if this happened to me! You neighbour sounds like a complete idiot!

It REALLY winds me up when my neighbours cat uses my garden as a public toilet but I wouldn't even think of shooting a cat let alone bragging about it. I just throw the poo back over the fence

i agree. you have to report him. make sure someone comes out to see him and give them all the info you can. maybe even visit some neighbours you no have cats to see if any of them have been injured. this is animal cruelty whether theres evidence or not hes told you

What a delightful man, and a great example he is setting for his young son.

I would report him too, if nothing else it will inconvenience him and make him think twice about what he is doing.

Defo contact the RSPCA this is a sure case of animal cruelty. I hope they can prosecute him. What a total idiot of a man, people like that make me so mad. The RSPCA never let on who reported the incident but if I was you that wouldnt bother me cos I would be telling the neighbour myself that I was reporting him.

I've got an air rife I use for rat control. Wonder if he'd like a pellet or two in the arse. See how he likes it

RSPCA and Police I'd say. Worth a go.

Ian.

Yup.......POLICE & RSPCA. If you do nothing then nothing will change. Report him & ensure you let your neighbours Know what the scumball is up to
