Nice to see some good news about Sweep - poor little man. Sending you lots of positive thoughts for the ongoing heart problem.

Re: Some bad news : (

Well Sweep had his 2nd vaccination today and his heart murmur is still as bad, the vet said they Won't proceed with his neutering when he is old enough to have it done, because of him dying under the anaesthetic, so he has been recommended to the cardiologist at the hospital, who i phoned today but he is on holiday till the 20th of July so he will be phoning me back when he gets back to sort the scan out for him.... so here's hoping ..

oh I'm sorry to hear that but I do think its best not to get him neutered atm. I really do understand what you must be going through at the moment as we are just waiting to get the all clear for Filous xrays, although I'm still trying to persuade them not to sedate him for it.
Please keep us updated

Hey,

I'm really glad Midnight is off for his scan - you'll feel so much better once you've chatted to the Cardiologist.

Do let me know how you get on x

Hiya

am sorry to hear everything your poor wee kitten is going through but thought I should share my experience with you. The vet told me Mikey had a heart murmur when i took him for his 1st jag, i was as concerned as you and looked upo the net etc and found out that is was quite common. at his 2nd jag his heart murmur was still there. The vet said that he would not be able to get neutured as his murmur was at level 4 and i think the highest is a 5. I tried not to think about it but at 7.5 months I had him back at the vet to get his claws cut and the vet checked his heart murmur which was now still there but down to a level 1 so the vet was happy to go ahead with his neaturing he was back in 2 weeks later and his op went well. So this only goes to prove this wee kittens can grow out of the murmur through time so i will be keeping me fingers crossed for you that your wee one is as lucky as Mikey.

xx

That sounds promising. I do hope Sweep gets better. What a worry.
