Awww so sorry it was not better news.....I think I would do it....otherwise if something happened to him I would always blame myself that I could have done something to prevent it getting worse...but it is a lot of money....hugs for you both xxxx

Re: Some bad news : (

I'm sorry to hear that My vet said it would cost £450 for the scan but thats only because she thinks its something other than a murmur. Have they put him on any tablets for the time being? x

Re: Some bad news : (

hi midnight, sorry to hear about lil sweep, if it was me i would get the scan if i could afford it, at least that you would know if it was treatable. lots of loves n hugs for sweep from menace and i.

i had my new furbaby menace at the vets today and got told he has a level 1 murmur but we are lucky, i had got menace insured though it hasnt kicked in yet (got another 2-3 days to go) but our vet has said they are not going to put it on his records yet until the 14 days has passed so he would be covered by insurance if need be

Still not sure about the scan, I think the PDSA are going to help and we have an appointment on Friday so I hope so, fingers crossed.

I'm surprised they didnt start him on medication already, Filou is on half a water tablet a day and 1 enalapril daily which is for heart murmurs ... unless he is too young to be put on them? He's only got the water tablets as his lungs filled with fluid a while ago so its just to be on the safe side.

I would possibly ask your vet about enalapril though.
