Cat on a lead?

A while back i saw someone walking a cat on a lead, do you think cats like it or is it cruel? I would love to take my future cat for walks but don't know if this is enjoyable for them or not

Re: Cat on a lead?

I know someone who has a 3 legged cat and an adapted harness so the cat can go for walks outside, the cats pretty happy about it, gets all excited when she gets out the harness and lead.

I don't have a garden, so i believe it would be nice for he/she to enjoy the outdoors on a safe enviroment like a park

If you start training a cat fto walk on lead from the very early age - he will get accaustomed to it and will enjoy going out like that. I had a moggy, many ears ago - who learn it from baby age and will walk with us side by side on the lead for up to 2 miles!

Re: Cat on a lead?

Must admit I've never seen a cat being walked on a lead, can't imagine my two enjoying it either, seems like a good idea though if the cats into it.
