Hi, i'm getting an Exotic male this Friday and i'm so excited...he's gorgeous.
I've done my research on the breed specifics but just wondered if there are any owners of this breed that may want to give me any useful tips or info that only Exotic owners will be able to comment on. Your posts will be greatly appreciated.

what kind of animal is this? im just thinking of buying an exotic pet too. im thinking of a lizard, i don't know what kind but i like the slow moving one! so i can let him go around at my house!

I know that like with persians you need to keep their eyes clean, and if they are very flat faced you will need to give them a wipe over every day, to avoid staining!

What colour are you getting? I bet your so excited!

I am soooooo excited, i cant wait. Im supossed to be getting him on Friday but ive asked if i can get him Thursday so ill be going to collect him Thursday night
He's a Blue smoke and white. A lovely light grey/blue colour with white and a little mosutache One of the pics she sent me was of him in a little santa suit with a santa hat on , he looks so cute in it and apparently he is very confident and human orientated, which is the type of behavior the breed should exhibit. Any name suggestions????

Haha. I have a little Ultra himalayan. Simple advice, make sure to keep their eyes clean! They tend to run a lot.

I have two exotics! they are wonderful Very cheeky, vocal and loving!

Just make sure they have lots of toys and a decent size cat scratcher!!

UPDATE: Got my boy....he's the most loving and affectionate cat ive ever known. Im a dog person usualy but an animal lover non-the-less and Exotics are my favourite breed and always have been since first learning about them, so im very excited to have him.

So anyway, he's blue/silver and white. He loves being brushed and when i call him over he comes running, lays on his back so you can rub his belly which he loves too, and sticks his tongue out when hes really enjoying the belly rubbs
If you tickle him under his chin he goes all floppy and super relaxed lol, and kinda lays his head on the floor but still with his back end stuck in the air, hes so cute!!!!!
I WANT ANOTHER ALREADY!!!!
As ive said in previous posts, ive obtained him from a girl who lives a few miles away from me as she had to re-home him, so anyway he's 2 years, neutered, and my new love
He's not an "outside" cat and weve been and got him a lead and harness today which he seems to not mind at all so all is good at the mo, touch wood!

Thanks Aud's Mum. Ive got him loads of toys to play with, he especially likes the fishing rod with the mouse attatched...but he seems to like the rod string more than the mouse on the end of it lol typical. I got him a nice luxury indoor toilet cuz his previous owner said he likes to do his business in private lol. Its great cuz unlike my dogs, i can over-spoil him without it being detremental to our relationship.
Do you have any other advice on them Aud's mum? Ur cats are gorgeous btw!

Oh!, beleive it or not the previous owner didnt have a name for him sooo, after no deliberation whatsoever lol, ive named him "Snuggles" it suits him perfectly!
