This morning I took Charlie and Lola to met the vet for their vaccinations and a general health check.

I was a little worried about Lola as we don't really know that much about her, she came complete with a tick and I supected worms as well. The vet said in his opinion she hasn't had the best start in life but as far as he could tell she was healthy.

Charlie is in tip top condition, but the oddest thing is the vet told me he couldn't tell if Charlie was a boy or girl (I know he's a boy as I have looked myself).

So both had their vaccinations we were given some Panacur womer and came away £143.60 lighter.

£143.60 - ouch! I sympathise with your purse lol. It's amazing how it adds up so quickly isn't it?

Really glad you're two are ok - just loved those pics you posted of them yesterday. Couple of sweethearts!!

The vet has advised that we handle Lola a lot more and she will get used to it. Only trouble is its like trying to hold on to a very hairy, wiggly bar of soap. She doesn't scratch or bite, so I guess that's a plus but she has a sixth sense that you're going to pick her up and she's off like greased lightening.

When I phoned DH to tell him what the vet had said about Lola not having the greatest starts in life he croaked down the phone, 'We're not going to lose her are we?'

I think he's been well and truly converted!
