Re: i have a pet plan! :D
I doubt many BSH breeders will let you have a kitten if you want to let it out. Usually they cost about £300 to £400 for a pedigree kitten with papers. Then you have a spay/neuter fee of about £50 when it's 6 months. Insurance costs about £10 to £15 a month. Litter will set you back along with food a month in the region of about £50 I would say at least. Then you have to buy things for it. Litter tray £20, bowls £10, microchipping £25, bed £20, scratching post £10, toys £15, carrier £25. Plus if you want other things like cat trees they are about £50+ each for a decent one.

Re: i have a pet plan! :D
really? i didnt know that! I thought that was up to the owner, thanks for that information!
My cat LOVED going outside, i wouldnt want my cat to live without going outside. I see other cats, like B.blues outside but not, they are gray, do you know what breed they are? You have been alot of help! Thank you! Ive seen an amazing cat tree already, its like £110 but totally worth it! My georgie used to have one ![]()

Again thank you for the information! What is your view on it? Do you keep yours inside?

Re: i have a pet plan! :D
My birman is an indoor cat only - a lot of pedigree breeders sell to indoor homes only for many reasons -
1 - the risk of theft of a very expensive pet 2 - pedigrees quite often will walk off with anyone that shows them attention and get lost 3 - risk of a road traiffic accident (cats can wander a long way - my old moggie was shot 5 miles from home by some b******d and dragged herself back (shot 3 times). Birmans certainly seem to have no road sense4 - the risk of poisoning, thugs who torment cats etc (draw a 10 mile radius around your home and see if anyone else lives in it or any largish road nearby and then you know if you are safe or not) 5 - the risk of disease etc. 6 - territory wars between cats etc If you are seeing blue cats around they are probably moggies with an element of some pedigree somewhere in the last few generations in order to get the blue (but it can occur without pedigree influence). I once had a blue that was moggy. You could always build a cat run or make your garden secure.

Re: i have a pet plan! :D
Thank you for those excellent points!
I think i will just stick to an old rescue cat then my cat (who i had all of my life) used to sleep the next doors dog at night! He used to sit in the sun for hours and drink from our fountain, i really wouldnt want an indoor cat Im guessing all purebred cats are indoors only then? I love turkish vans aswel...
