Re: What should buy for new kitten

Hi Trish

Firstly could I ask where are you buying the kitten from? Breeder, Rescue, pet classifieds?

If from a breeder or rescue make sure you know what foods to buy in. If your first cat you will need (all two of for washing purposes) litter boxes, feed bowls, water bowls, toys, scratching pole, cat bed, fleeces, throws, cat litter (a big sack is more economical and white/grey litter is good). Grooming brushes/combs depending on length of your kit's coat. If a smooth coat, then a grooming love glove is good. From pet shop its like a rubber glove with pimples on the underside, pmsl.

Re: What should buy for new kitten

I'm getting the kitten from a breeder.

This will be fun and expensive shopping

Are there any particular toys, beds, scratching posts etc in particular that you would recommend?

Good breeder would know what the favorite toys are ( and might give you one or two), will know everything about habits, purrsonality and everything related to your new baby. Dont hesitate to ask all questions - a good breeder ecspects a lots of questions and will be very happy to tell you everything.

If you want to buy online, I would recommend www.purrsoneltouch.com (sp?) they have virtually everything you will need, lol
