Lola had a tick on her ear!
No safely removed and disposed of. I am quite the expert in tick removal after we lived at our old house and Shen (the dog), Thomas and even our toddler daughter managed to get ticks.
It was no mean feat with the kitten not used to being handled. She was very squirmy and growled a lot, but she didn't scratch or bite. If that was Thomas at the same age I would have lost my hands. One question is bugging me however. Where on earth would she have got the tick from? Not here I know for sure as we having had a single tick on Thomas or the dog since moving here over a year ago.

Re: Lola had a tick on her ear!
hahaa it was the funniest thing ive EVER seen...he made me call his mum..and the doctors, then eventually we went to A&E (talk about over reacting) then the doctor was so impressed with the tick as it was the best example he had ever seen (i called the tick finley) that he took pictures! In the end they burnt it off! which is SUCH a bad idea, he has a scar now!
(sorry to hijack thread)

Re: Lola had a tick on her ear!
LOL your poor boyfriend!
As far as I am aware Lola hasn't been outside, she certainly hasn't been outside since we've had her. But you can pick ticks up in other ways, from cat carriers and from other animals in the house. I just hope she didn't get it here. I had enough of tick patrol at our old house. DH was terrifed that Lola was going to be sucked dry like a raisin!
