marley is on a distinguished road
restless kitten

hello
im new on here ,i have two kittens marley she is 16 weeks ,and cole he is 14 weeks , i have two older girls that are 10 yrs millie and ginnie .there are very loving cats, but this last week marley is very restless trying to get out the house ,and very unsettled could she be coming into season early ,what other signs would i get ? and cole is very interested in my ginnie trying to hump her and following marley around ,what age does a male kitten have to be to father kittens and could you tell me the age a female kitten is meant to come into season ,i didnt really want to let her have a litter,
anyhelp would be great

16 weeks is too young to worry about, vets usually advise a cat be spayed or neutered at 5 or 6 months of age. The first signs of a female cat coming into season are restlessness and crouching down with the rear in the air and making a lot of noise she will usually be very affectionate too. But I think you don't need to be concerned, if still worried have a word with your vet, they'll be happy to offer any reassurance over the phone. My cat first came into season at 9months which is around the norm. Best of luck with your new kittens.

Hi, i only have a very young kittens myself, but i've done quite alot of reading and most kittens come onto heat at about 5/6 months ish, but there have been rare cases of them coming on as early as 3 months.
Your best bet is definately to ask the vet and just see what they say.
