Re: We've had some bad news about Audrey

That is so upsetting, I too had been following your threads about her since her haircut and was really hoping that she would pick up … I am so disgusted with the groomers, it should definitely been made public was a traumatic experience they put her through, I know it won’t help Audrey now but it may stop another incident in the future.

Will be thinking of her, and you and looking out for updates – fingers crossed for good news, she’s such a lovely cat.

Re: We've had some bad news about Audrey

Thank you all so much, i'm just praying for good news tomorrow.

saikou - thanks for the advice, do you know where I could get the taurine?

There was a heart specialist at the emergency vets on Sunday which was a stroke of good luck. They were keen to operate there and then but another vet wasn't keen and advised Caroline my vet should make the decision tomorrow whether to refer her to another specialist. As her breathing is still off key then I think Caroline will.

She's had a rough start to life in terms of her cat flu, and then her grooming it just seems unreal she's been dealt this awful blow. But Barney made it through his illness and is still going strong, so I'm hopeful Aud can do the same

As for the groomers, well my husband practically had to pin me down on Sunday as I was inches away from the phone.......i've heard nothing since my complain which i think is disgusting as sometimes an acknowledgement makes all the difference.

When I've calmed down a bit, and after tomorrow's appt I'll decide what to do about the groomers......I'm not one for confrontation but I truly believe (and so do the vets) that the trip there started all of this off.

Re: We've had some bad news about Audrey

Poor little Audrey, I am sending lots of love and good vibes your way.

I hope her meds start working and she will be as right as rain as soon as possible. I can understand your anger with the groomers, I would play hell with them now. But your hubby is right, you need to be in the right frame of mind, there is nothing more scary than someone who is very very angry talking in a very calm voice, it will scare the crap out of them. It does seem a bit of a coincidence this event has followed her traumatic hair cut doesn't it?

Come on Audrey, get better soon for your wonderful cat mummy, we are all thinking about you darling!

Izzie

http://www.health-store.co.uk/acatalog/Solgar_Taurine.html

Try one capsule a day sprinkled on a small amount of food you know she will eat.

You can up the dose if things get worse. Some US site recommend 1000mg a day.
