What do you do with YOUR poo?!

Inspired by another thread, I thought I would ask how people dispose of their animals' poo and/or cat litter?
I'm struggling to find a friendly way of disposing of it. If I kept it here as compost I would be overrun with it!

So? What do you do with YOUR poo?!

Re: What do you do with YOUR poo?!

Really?! That's weird.
The lady that lived in this house before us had 12 dogs, and she had the same problem as you. She came home one day and found the bin men had slashed the bags spilling the poo all over the lane.

We haven't had a problem so far.
Where do you keep it in between trips to the tip, and how often do you need to make the trips?
And how many animals do you have that necessitate a tip drop off rather than having it taken with the rubbish?

because ours is woodbase/paper we put it in the green recycle bin, sore subject with me at the mo as it's hit and miss as to when it's collected-totally fed up with trying to sort it out,as more often than not i get told yes i can put that in the bin and it will get emptied-then it doesn't etc so i bag it,bin it and curse the refuge collection men

Re: What do you do with YOUR poo?!

I'm afraid i'm not very green I think on this one. I tie all mine up in carrier bags and put in the normal wheelie bin. The bin men have never told me off for it yet, though I dont think they examine the contents of my bin too closely. As long as its not overfilled and the lid will shut. I suppose I am recycling old carrier bags if nothing else

they did the same with us slashing the bags!!!! it is kept double bagged and in old black bins and we normally do a trip once a week to keep it down and our bin men wont even take the cleanings out of the rabbit

Re: What do you do with YOUR poo?!

But rabbits are veggie, so the health risk is low!!!
my rabbit was litter trained so i would flush her poo in the outside loo, and put her old hay in the green wheelie bin 4 compost.
