What made you choose?

Hiya

What made you choose your cat? was it looks, or the breed or was your cat from a shelter?

I would love a pedigree cat (would seriously love a persian or a bengal), but at the same time, i am not interested in breeding cats, there are so many people who breed cats, and make such a long commitment to doing it (the genuine breeders!).

I love my Jinxy, he is not a pedigree cat, but i have always wanted a black cat, but i was happy with any colour, i just wanted to home a cat.

Just a curious question, not one for debate i am just interested

xxx

Re: What made you choose?

I wanted a ped. because I felt it was very important to know/feel happy with a kitten's breeding & know what to expect. I had a short list of breeds, one of those breeds had a very good breeder local to me when I didn't drive so I contacted her as she had a litter. When I visited, it wasn't so much me choosing the kitten but the kitten choosing me. There were two left, the other ignored us & our kitten jumped on our laps for cuddles without asking so we had no choice!!! We were picked.

Re: What made you choose?

We chatted about getting a kitten and really did some homework here reading on various breeds, and then finally decided that we were the right ones for a Ragdoll.......lol. Although they are a Semi longhaired breed the moulting isn't as bad as you would think, and we just love their size and temprement, we also love to show our boys and we have made some great friends while attending different shows around the UK.........best wishes...CHRIS

Your cat is absolutely gorgeous, it is the long hair that puts me off wanting one with the casting, kinda puts me off with the persians to, but i would never say no!!, (but thats great that it is not as bad as you thought though), but each time i see a picture of him i think awww lol
